Baby bedding has made a lot of progress in terms of materials and designs since the time you were little. When you were a baby, the choices your mother had for baby bedding were limited to just a few basic colors and not many themes. Unlike the very safe flame retardant materials used for fabric choices in baby bedding today, those in the past were often itchy, flammable, and sometimes even toxic.
After the birth of a baby, the days are gone of “putting the cart before the horse.” Whether they are ultra soft satin or warm cotton, all fabrics for baby bedding must meet safety regulations. Before we had proper research to know the safety of materials we had to worry, but not anymore!
