Identifying the Keyword Value

How does one establish the value of keywords? One metric is the amount of visitors it is capable of bringing. But the amount of traffic is not all. You have to be ready to sell to that traffic. One of the ways to figure out the commercial viability is the PPC cost per click that the advertisers pay to display their adverts for that keyword. Most tools provide this information, from Google’s Keyword Tool to Keyword Elite. If the keyword has a high cost per click, means advertisers have profit from it. If the price per click is low, there’s likely very few buyers looking for that term. Pay attention to this metric when researching, the amount of visitors and competition is not everything.
