I understand that you can get no quick fixes

I attempt to self evaluate my games, but I consider my lack of chess sets information generally holds me back. Rather often I do find far better moves, but unless of course it is due to the fact I left a piece hanging or permitted a mating attack to become put on me, it is merely due to the fact the move I played inside the game did not work. I’ve study some training books, but I uncover most of the content offered is over my head. I understand that there are no “quick fixes” in learning chess. I understand I’ll never be a master of any type, but I do appreciate the game and would such as to improve. Am I really about the road to growth, or just kidding myself?
